The St Blaize Hiking Trail is one of Mossel Bay’s most iconic coastal walks, and the stretch from the St Blaize Cave to Pinnacle Point is easily its most dramatic. Starting at the historic cave near The Point, the trail winds along rugged sandstone cliffs with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. The path is lined with fynbos, seabirds glide overhead, and the sound of waves crashing below follows you throughout the walk.

As you make your way along the coastline, the scenery shifts between narrow cliff‑edge paths, open stretches of coastal vegetation, and lookout points perfect for photos. Dolphins are often spotted playing in the surf, and during whale season (July to end October), the trail becomes one of the best vantage points in the region.

The route leads you toward the striking landscapes of Pinnacle Point, where the cliffs rise higher and the ocean views become even more impressive. Arriving at Pinnacle Point feels like stepping into a postcard — turquoise water, dramatic rock formations, and sweeping views of the Golf Course and coastline.
