Animal Alley Adventure

This full day tour consists of visiting various animal sanctuaries in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Get your wildlife fix with a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary in the Crags, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and a visit to the Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. Lunch for your own account will be at the local Peppermill Cafe in the Crags.



Elephant Sanctuary - The Crags

Elephant Sanctuary, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay, has African elephants and offers an interactive Africa elephant experience. We offer hands-on educational elephant interactions. This provides our guests with a far more intimate experience with the elephants. Our dedicated staff is committed to the use of positive reinforcement elephant training methods and as a result, we have relaxed elephants who enjoy interacting with our guests.

Monkeyland

Monkeyland is the original free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary with over 550 primates roaming freely. This is a guided 1-hour tour that incorporates walking through the sanctuary and getting close to the various species.

Birds of Eden

A free-flight aviary for birds from all over the world. Come and enjoy a self-guided walk through our aviary to enjoy 200+ species flying around within a large, enclosed area.

Jukani

At Jukani you can admire the majestic big cats of the world – Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Pumas and Jaguars. The animals - at their forever home – Jukani, have been rescued or rehomed from facilities that could no longer care for them. At Jukani they can now explore their large natural habitat, designed and built around each individual animal’s needs. They are free of exploitation and the stress caused by human interaction. They can be appreciated and photographed in all their magnificence.

On your 80-minute walking safari with one of our knowledgeable guides, you will also find Raccoons, a Honey Badger, Caracal, an African Polecat, some Zebra and Springbok as well as predators such as the Spotted Hyena. The lightning-fast Cheetah and agile tree-climbing Pumas are a delight to see.
